Shipping & Transporting
Revised 06/1/08
We can transport your puppy by truck, airplane or you can come to pick up your puppy. We
do ask that during extreme weather conditions, to please remain patient. We do not allow our puppies to be transported if
we are not absolutely sure they will arrive happy and healthy. And the airline will not ship puppies if colder than
15 degrees or warmer than 85 degrees.
Transportation
by truck usually runs between $200 - $500,
depending on the destination. When traveling by truck, we will provide you with shot records, health certificate and vet check
statements, registration papers and your puppy's special traveling toy. Our truck service does an excellent job
of working with us and the new puppy owner to make sure he/she arrives as soon as possible and as clean as possible. Your
puppy will be taken on walks and their carrier cleaned at each fuel stop. Traveling by van is a slower method, but works
best in some cases.
Transportation by air usually runs between $250 - $300 to major airports, depending
on destination, age of puppy and carrier size. We fly out of the Monroe LA , Shreveport LA. or Jackson MS When transporting by air, we provide you with shot records, health certificate
and vet check statements, registration papers, a carrier, wire bottom to fit inside carrier floor or shredded paper to keep
the puppy as clean as possible, water bottle or bowl and of course, the puppy gets to keep his toy. We recommend you
bring newspapers, paper towels, and a spray cleaner to clean the carrier upon arrival. These big pups can really make
a mess during flight and the airport officials are not allowed to open the carriers to clean them. It makes your trip
home with your new puppy a much more pleasant smelling experience.
We would love to have you come pick your puppy up. Make sure if you are using
this method, you come prepared to travel with such a large puppy. A Medium to Large size kennel is appropriate depending
on the age and weight of your puppy. These big guys can leave really big piles, so bring lots of newspapers, paper towels
and plastic sacks for disposal. They also need plenty of water and drink very often. Our puppies are all trained to
use water bottles and to drink from a bowl. Water bottles are easier to use for travel. A leash will also be needed
for bathroom breaks or exercise. Large breed puppies do travel very well and do not seem to get as stressed as smaller breeds.
