Charley's new dad contacted us weeks in advance of his wife returning from a long trip. He wanted to have an extra special surprise for her. They had adopted from us before and knew my mom, Teri, well from many years before. I was thrilled to meet them for the first time when they arrived to pick up their newest family member. Charley's mom came prepared to sign paperwork but her husband had left out what kind.

Before long she was signing her name on Charley's adoption papers.
I have gotten to see them all again once since then when they came by for Charley's next vaccination. They showed up with the best homemade lemon sugar cookies and left with a resounding invitation to come back next time Charley is due for a shot.

Chanel is such a wee little thing with a delicate nose and ears that are doing their best to stand. She is likely to be very, very pretty and we can't wait to watch her grow up!
