Snickers, as he is now called, has been tested by a certified allergy haver and declared to be allergen free!
His new family has one member who suffers from dog allergies. Oh no! So to make sure that their newest potential family member would indeed find a forever home with them, they first came to meet him to give it a thorough test. Unbeknownst to the kids, who thought they were just meeting "a friend's puppy"... mom and dad were actually on a reconnaissance mission to make sure that one of their children would not be made miserable by eternal watery eyes and a perpetually itchy nose when the new puppy came home.
Twenty-four hours later with no signs of an allergic reaction, mom and dad knew it was safe to offer "Dewey" a forever home and the name Snickers to have as his own. We are told the kids could not have been happier to discover the ruse and have welcomed Snickers into their family.
