Suzie's new momma contacted us not too long after losing her dear baby Lola. She said she had planned not to invite another puppy into her broken heart but that she missed the tippy tap of doggie feet too much each day when she came home. When she saw then "Babydoll's" photo, it reminded her so much of Lola's from 12 years before that she stopped looking, knowing that she had found the puppy for her.
Little things that remind us of our lost loved ones can help our wounded hearts open to new love and start to heal. Lola's momma remembers most fondly her little Lola's kisses and says if you laid on the floor, she would kiss your face anyway she could! Even if you tried to hide it, she would find a way. She celebrated getting her very first puppy kiss from little Suzie the morning after adoption. We hope she gets about a billion or two more while she and Suzie celebrate this new chapter for them both - still remembering with love the wonderful chapters that came before.
